    About Our New Parent Orientation

    All parents new to the Tall Pines School community are encouraged to attend our New Parent Orientation, hosted by Head of School, Mark Murakami.

    We’ll review key school routines, including arrival and dismissal, schedules, communication, and important policies so families feel ready for a smooth start at Tall Pines.

    About our Back-to-School Meet & Greet

    Stop by to visit classrooms, meet teachers, connect with program providers, learn about lunch and extracurricular options, and meet other Tall Pines families. It’s a great way for students to get comfortable and excited for the year ahead!

    This drop-in event is for all families.

  • Most forms are completed during registration. To make sure your information is complete and up to date, please review your forms on our registration portal.

    • Step 1:  Go to TPS Registration

    • Step 2:  Sign-in with your email and password. (Passwords can be reset using the “Reset password” button.) 

    • Step 3:  Click on “View details” under submitted applications for the current academic year. 

    • Step 4:  Under forms, review, or complete your information.

    • Step 5:  Under documents, upload a student photo, immunization record (EYP only) and IEP (if required).

    Forms include:

    • Household Form (incl. emergency contacts, authorized pick up)

    • Medical Information (incl. history, insurance)

    • Student Information (incl. custody arrangements and IEP)

    • School Policy Guide

    • General Permissions Form

    • Lunch Program (incl. food allergies & dietary restrictions)

    • Financial Agreement & Payment Authorization

    Updates to Household Information can be completed on the site. For all other changes, please contact the Front Office.

  • We’re excited to share that our inventory has arrived! Fittings and online order pick up will be available by appointment the week of August 31 and can be booked here: Book a Uniform Appointment.

    School uniforms are available for pre-order through the Tall Pines Uniform Store. For returning families, ordering should feel familiar, as uniform sizing is consistent with previous years.

      • Grade 6-10 - 7:00 am depature from school (please arrive by 6:40 am to load the bus) // 4:30 pm pick up on Friday

      • Grade 4-5 - 11:30 am departure from school (please arrive during regular 8:20 - 8:40 am drop off) // 12:00 pm return on Friday (optional early pick up)

    • Supervising Staff: All Grade 4-5 homeroom teachers, MYP teaching team, Mr. & Mrs. Murakami.

    • What to Pack:  4-Day Outdoor Education Packing List

    • How to Pack:

      • Soft duffel bags only (no hard suitcases).

      • One bag for clothing, one bag for bedding.

      • Check local weather in Bracebridge and pack accordingly. Layers always recommended!

  • We are delighted to introduce Organic Kids as our new food program partner for the upcoming school year! Organic Kids will continue to provide healthy, freshly prepared meals and snacks for our students while introducing a more kid-friendly menu and more tailored substitutions for students with different dietary needs.

    The Student Meal Program is included for all students from Toddler to Grade 5, and provides a morning snack and lunch. Students in After School Care will also receive an afternoon snack.

    Allergy and dietary information will continue to be managed through the school. If there have been any changes to your child’s allergies or dietary needs since registration, please contact the Front Office.

    Optional Lunch Program for Grade 6+

    Families with students in Grade 6 and up can register for an optional lunch program through Organic Kids - Home Away Kids Meals.

    The program includes a freshly prepared, pre-portioned lunch delivered daily to school. Students who are not registered should bring their own lunch and snacks from home.

    • Cost: $12 per meal (tax incl.)

    • Fall Order Deadline: Sept. 4, 2026

    • Fall Program Start: Sept. 14, 2026

    Pizza Days

    Pizza lunch will be offered every 2-3 weeks throughout the school year and is included for students in Junior Kinder to Grade 5. Students from Grades 6+ can purchase pizza at school, subject to availability and with permission from their teachers.

    Students in Early Years (Toddler and Preschool) will receive their regularly scheduled meals from Organic Kids in accordance with the guidelines for Licensed Child Care .

    Birthday Cakes

    For birthday and holiday classroom celebrations, birthday cakes and other school-safe treats can be ordered from Sweets from the Earth (shop.sweetsfromtheearth.com).

    As a reminder, grab bags, gift bags, candy, toys and other small giveaway items are not permitted at school.

  • Our updated Arrival and Dismissal Routinesoutlines where and when families should drop off and pick up students this year.

    A few important changes for returning families:

    • Kinder morning drop-off: Kinder students will now use the Kiss and Ride with the rest of our school-age students between 8:20 and 8:40 a.m. A kinder teacher will meet students and help them transition to class.

    • Before school care: Students attending Before School Care may be dropped off at the morning care room through the front playground. Toddler and Preschool students may be dropped off at their exterior classroom door.

    • Early Years routines: Regular Toddler and Preschool drop-off and dismissal will take place outside at the front playground. Families with older siblings should drop them off using the Kiss and Ride first. Toddler and Preschool dismissal runs from 3:20 and 3:40 p.m. after which students will transition into After School Care.

    1st Day of School

    As an exception, the doors will be open in the morning and all families are welcome to park and bring their children into class. Regular program pick-up times and procedures will apply that afternoon.

    Family Indoor Pick Up

    Throughout the year, we will offer family indoor pick-up dates when all families are invited to pick up their children indoors from their classroom. Dates will be published and shared via Toddle.

    Please note that homeroom teachers will reach out directly to families the week prior to the start of school.

  • After School Care is available for students from Toddler to Grade 8.

    • Hours: 3:40 - 5:30 pm

    • Full School Year: $2,000 per student

    • Sibling Discount: $200

    • Occasional Use: $30 per day

    All students in After School Care will receive a snack. To register for After School Care, please login to our Registration Portal.

    Morning care is available starting at 7:30 am for all families at no additional cost.

  • Parent volunteers are a valued part of the Tall Pines School community. Throughout the year, opportunities may include supporting classroom activities, reading with students, joining field trips, helping at sports events, supporting fundraising projects, and lending a hand as other needs arise.

    To volunteer at Tall Pines, parents must provide a current Vulnerable Sector Check or Statement of Attestation, and review our Parent Volunteer guidelines.

    Police record checks can take several weeks, so families interested in volunteering this year are encouraged to begin the process early!
